DROID is a collaborative robot system based on a human model, consisting of a robotic arm and a five-fingered end effector called "HandEffector." The HandEffector is equipped with an RGB camera, depth sensor, AI accelerator, and force sensors, supporting AI-based intuitive teaching. With a wearable force feedback controller, it allows users to teach gripping actions and force adjustments simply by demonstrating tasks, even without programming knowledge. Additionally, it features AI-assisted force control and object recognition capabilities, enabling automatic adaptation of gripping actions to new objects, building an object database, and improving work efficiency. The integrated camera system and onboard AI processing allow for flexible responses to changes in the work area and objects.
